NAB Bound—And We Need Your Help

Tomorrow Van and I trek across the desert in search of the largest gathering of video and post-production technology in the west; that famed show known as NAB. As with last year, we will be bringing you exclusive Church Tech Weekly coverage of the show. Our goal is to find the newest and greatest tech that has a high value to the church tech. And that’s where we need your help.

There will literally be thousands and thousands of products there, and we are slated to cover about 20 of them. We obviously have to choose, and we’d prefer to pick stuff that you want to see. We plan on hunting down the elusive new Yamaha console (we hope they have a few CLs there), and perhaps the new DiGiCo SD5. Beyond that, we’re pretty open. I hear Panasonic quietly introduced a new video switcher (the AV-HS410) that looks interesting, and Roland just announced their new V800HD switcher as well.

But this is audience participation time. What have you heard about that you’d like to see more of? What problems do you need a solution for? If you were going to NAB to see one thing, what would it be? I can’t promise you we’ll be able to fulfill all the requests, but I will promise we’ll try.

Leave a comment below and let us know what you want us to cover. Thanks for reading and for watching. Look for the first videos to start appearing by mid-week!
