Old Production Takes From an Old Guy

CTW WFX Coverage: Line6 Digital Wireless

As the RF landscape gets more hostile, we need to find better ways to survive. Line6 has an intriguing option that uses the 2.4 MHz spectrum with digital transmission. I’ve tested them and they sound good. Van gets a tour of the various models and features sets in this clip.

I've been using this line of wireless for almost a year now, and I really like it. We opted for two systems, one beltpack and one handheld. We use a SM58 head from a broken transmitter on the Line6 transmitter, and It sounds as good as hardwire. We also use a Countryman E6, and it too, sounds great.

My goal is to expand by one system a year so we can phase out our old Shure ***cheap-o*** systems.

Also using Ansmann batteries from Horizon as recommended by you!

I should add that I also spoke to the same Don at CMS here in Seattle, and he said there will be a firmware update available soon which will reduce the amount of interference to WiFi. Right now, our WiFi becomes unusable when a mic is on. The firmware is supposed to fix that.
