CTW NAB 2012 Coverage: SmallHD On-Camera Monitors

They may be a small company, but SmallHD on-camera monitors are making a big impact. Compact, lightweight and affordable, these are perhaps the best-looking on-camera monitors I’ve seen in a long time. They are bright, fully saturated and extremely sharp. They also include great features like focus assist and exposure mapping.

Grass Valley has come out with a line of very cool conversion boxes. There is a dual HD-SDI to HDMI box (for 3D), an HD-SDI or HDMI to Analog video, a very neat sync generator and the biggie, an anything to SDI conversion. And by anything we mean analog video, DVI, or HDMI. It will also embed video into the SDI stream. Built like tanks and pretty affordable to boot.
